I keep in touch with xxKMSakura. I remember that she had two strikes before the incident reached her. We looked up the fake complaint the night it was taken down (Christmas, or the day before or after, if I can remember correctly) and couldn't find any leads. The group then was "笹川 純一". I saw this original thread and pointed it out to her, but even now she's worried about any potential legal processes.
She decided about a week or two later to create the "TheKMSakura" account and started to re-upload the video. Within about two or three weeks, the videos, and eventually the account, were taken down by "笹口 純一".

After doing some digging (in no particular order):
-xxKMSakura - Regret Snow (taken down Dec. 26) - 笹川 純一
-TheKMSakura - wowaka feat. Ai Nonaka and Eri Kitamura "and I'm home" with English Subs - Shenzhen Eri
-TheKMSakura - Hatsune Miku "Mushroom Mother" with English Subs - 笹口 純一
-TheKMSakura - Hatsune Miku "864000" with English Subs - 笹口 純一
And may I point to the unusual search results for Shenzhen Eri.
...and the videos listed are the ones that probably concern us. She says that she's been flagged twice before, both with legitimate reason. ANTINOTICE was taken down by TOYSFACTORYJP, who owns the right to start with.
Saruta 00:40, February 12, 2012 (UTC) Case studies on these four videos would be interesting. In particular, one video is from an official release featuring features Eri Kitamura: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eri_Kitamura , the song listed is in the discography.
Shenzen Eri" is really a Chinese company making electronics hardware, but perhaps the attackers used this name from confusion with Eri Kitamura? Who *really* holds the rights for "I'm home"? It would also be very interesting to investigate rights/licenses for the other three. Ideally, someone who understands Japanese could do this.

This took about an hour or so to put together, maybe a bit longer. I don't really care for Miku's singing of the original song. The Piko cover has a lot more energy and sounds much more realistic. Don't get me wrong, I love the song and Wowaka's lyrics, I just don't think it was the right song for Miku. I do, however, like Miku's singing of other Wowaka songs (such as Two-Faced Lovers and Rolling Girl) as well as other songs by other artists featuring Miku, so don't think I'm a Miku hater. :P Also, I could only find a video with English subs, but no romaji. So, I got bored and decided to put this together. Much thanks to the original artist who put together the original video, the song itself (Wowaka is God), and the beautiful cover by Kyaami. Regrettably I can't translate the name of the artist for the original PV because I suck with Hiragana. I think it's Pichoko, but if anyone else knows for sure, please let me know so I can give appropriate credit!
Note that this won't be a regular occurrence for me, I was just really bored and annoyed at the fact that I couldn't find a video with both English AND Romaji subs. To those who follow my Let's Plays, I am hoping to begin a new Let's Play very soon, but I'm not saying what it is yet.

This leaves just xxKMSakura/TheKMSakura. We do have contact via KYA on vocaloidotaku. The allegeddly offending, but possibly legal, works are Regret Snow, Mushroom Mother, 864000. We already have some information that sugar_gem found.
Regret Snow: by 昆布つゆ(Kombu Tsuyu), sm7491001, "do not show" on Nico - no use to investigate further.
864000sec - ゆよゆっぺ(Yuyoyuppe) - sm13229327 . Sugar_gem and yama both couldn't find any statement for reuse/derivative works. But, this was really just a reupload, the work does not need subtitles; and he has his own YT account, so is unlikely to welcome reuploads now. No need for further checking.
This leaves one work to investigate:
Mushroom mother - ピノキオP(Pinocchio-P) - sm15298030 . Pinoccio-P allows some derivative works - see http://piapro.jp/t/buM5, but the permission is only on karaoke sound and Japanese lyrics.
Would it be possible to ask Pinnochio-P about this translation thing? If he is OK with it, "TheKMSakura" account could be restored. It would be a clear result for "Save Miku".
